The first installment of Bleach’s Thousand-Year Blood War arc is officially available, and fans have never been this thrilled. The Bleach’s Gotei 13 Captains are among the characters that fans are most eager to see in this new adaptation.
The Gotei 13 are composed of some of the most prominent characters in the Bleach universe who prioritize the safety of the Soul Society and the rest of humanity.
Captains undergo many years of intense training, which makes them far more competent than the common Shinigami. A few captains have held power for countless ages without ever facing a challenge. Here, we’ve ranked the current Gotei 13 Captains in order of their relative strengths.
Current Gotei 13 Captains Ranked According To Power Level Are:
13. Sajin Komamura

Saijin Komamura was initially introduced as a mysterious warrior with a bamboo helmet covering his face. Although his wolf-like features may frighten others, Sajin is compassionate and surprisingly self-conscious.
He has the necessary spiritual pressure to continue serving as one the Gotei 13 captains, but compared to other captains’ abilities, he falls short. Komamura was among the four captains whose Bankais were stolen by Quincy in the Thousand Year Blood War arc.
12. Rojuro Otoribashi

Rojuro was a Gotei 13 member before being banished alongside the other Visored. Rose, and the other Visored, joined soul society to fight and take down Aizen and the arrancars. He was given his place back in the Gotei 13 as squad three’s captain in exchange for his participation in the decisive battle. Although he has excellent swordsmanship, he does not take pleasure in fighting and lacks strength.
11. Sui Feng

Sui Feng is the Second Division’s captain and the commander of the Stealth Force. After Yoruichi left the Soul Society, Sui Feng took her position.
Sui Feng is a devout, morally upright lady who always stands up for what she believes in, yet easily gets swayed by her emotions. She often makes fast strikes due to her impatience, which leaves her exposed to the enemy’s attacks. She released her Jakuhō Raikōben against the Quincy opponent, but it soon got sealed by her.
10. Kensei Muguruma

Following the victory against Haizen, Kensei was among the other Visored members who were granted their position back as one of the Gotei 13 Captains. He is strong and fast and has perfected his hand-to-hand fighting skills. Kensei is a massive threat on any battleground when he combines his hollow skills with the Zanpakuto.
Kensei is fierce on the battlefield and quickly gets irritated by other people’s immaturity. After the Wandenreich attack, Kensei took it upon himself to teach Bankai to his lieutenant Shūhei Hisagi.
9. Jushiro Ukitake

Captain Ukitake is a very calm and accessible person, due to which he has great respect among the Soul Society’s ranks. Aside from Shunsui Kyoraku, Ukitake is another accomplished swordsman among Genryusai’s best students. He didn’t let his lung condition stop him from becoming a Shinigami. His honorable character—always forgiving and attempting to assist those in need—was revered by his colleagues.
8. Shinji Hirako

Up until he was exiled along with the rest of the Visored, Shinji Hirako served as one of the Gotei 13 Captains. He was subsequently reinstated in the Gotei 13 as the Fifth Division captain. His Sakanade has the ability to alter his opponent’s sense of direction and muddle their movements in the middle of a fight. As a Visored, he has more strength than the majority of captains. Unfortunately, he cannot stand a chance against opponents as powerful as Zaraki Kenpachi.
7. Mayuri Kurotsuchi

Mayuri Kurotsuchi is the captain of the twelfth Division and is sometimes referred to as a mad scientist among other people. He is an academic whose lifelong pursuit of knowledge and curiosity is his only goal. He rarely engages in combat, yet his comrades fear him because of the horrifying experiments he uses against his rivals.
He has a monster appearance and regards everyone as nothing more than a resource for his research. Mayuri’s Bankai is just as spooky and dangerous as Mayuri.
6. Toshiro Hitsugaya

Hitsugaya is regarded as a prodigy among shinigami and is the youngest person to attain Bankai in the Soul Society. Despite his young age, Toshiro Hitsugaya moves up the ranks swiftly and eventually takes over as captain of the 10th division.
Hitsugaya puts in a lot of work to improve his ability and strength. During the battle in the TYBW arc, Hitsugaya activated Daiguren Hyourinmaru, but Cang stole it with his Medallion.
5. Byakuya Kuchiki

Captain of the sixth division of the Gotei 13, Byakuya Kuchiki comes from a long history of strong Soul Reapers. He has incredibly precisive sword abilities, and his strength is so great that it briefly allowed him to challenge Ichigo’s Bankai. Byakuya is among the strongest Captains in Bleach due to his adaptive fighting style. After losing his Bankai in the TYBW arc, Byakuya forbade Renji from using it, claiming that he must not end up losing it too.
4. Retsu Unohana

During the formation of the Gotei 13, the Captain Commander personally selected Retsu as the captain of the Eleventh Squad. She was among the original Gotei 13 Captains and the former holder of the Kenpachi title.
Retsu was so incredibly powerful that her battles would conclude rapidly. She was assigned to train Kenpachi Zaraki after the first battle of the TYBW storyline. However, she died happy, realizing she had accomplished her duty.
3. Kenpachi Zaraki

In the Soul Society, Zaraki is regarded as the strongest Soul Reaper and is currently holding the title of Kenpachi. He had the strength to overthrow the tenth Kenpachi and take over as captain. However, he does not receive the true title until he kills Retsu Unohana in the TYBW arc. Zaraki is a formidable opponent because of his astounding battle potential.
2. Shunsui Kyoraku

Shunsui received a promotion to Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13 and Captain of the 1st Division following the tragic death of Genryusai. He is the only Soul Reaper skilled enough to use two swords at once. He excels in every other area of battle, including speed, strength, and skill. He doesn’t typically battle at full strength due to his easy going demeanor, which led to him losing an eye during the TYBW storyline.
1. Genryusai Yamamoto

The Captain Commander is a towering figure of strength and authority. Over more than a thousand years, Yamamoto has commanded the thirteen gotei. He was the founder and among the original Gotei 13 captains.
No soul reaper could match Genryusai Yamamoto and his Zanpakuto’s combined power. The flames are so intense in Bankai form that Ice and Water-type Zanpakuto practitioners can’t even unleash their powers. Unfortunately, he died at the hands of Yhwach during the first war of the TYBW arc.
